Axiostat is a hemostatic dressing developed by Axio Biosolutions, a medical technology company specializing in biomaterial-based solutions for trauma, surgery, and wound care. The product is made of 100% chitosan and is based on the company’s patented Protonated Bioadhesive Technology (PBT).
Axiostat stops moderate to severe bleeding rapidly and works even on patients with impaired coagulation. The dressing is USFDA 510(k)-cleared and CE-marked, manufactured according to ISO 13485, and used by emergency personnel, military medical services, and trauma specialists in a large number of countries. It is available in multiple formats for different types of wounds and is easily applied and removed by rinsing with saline or water.
