Through close collaboration between SIG SAUER, Inc., AMEXCI, and MP-Sec International AB, the first SIG SAUER suppressor has been manufactured and assembled in Sweden. This marks an important step in the development of SIG SAUER’s European industrial partnerships and Sweden’s domestic manufacturing capabilities within the defence industry. The milestone has also been highlighted by Nordic Defence Sector.

International Expertise Meets Swedish Manufacturing

The collaboration combines SIG SAUER’s global expertise in defence technology with AMEXCI’s and MP-Sec’s Swedish industrial and technical experience. This creates opportunities to develop local manufacturing capabilities and technical expertise, while also contributing to more resilient supply chains within the European defence industry.

Sweden is playing an increasingly important role in European and NATO defence, and the development of Sweden’s defence industry is an important part of strengthening Europe’s overall defence capability.

The partnership includes an exclusive collaboration on suppressors for the SIG SAUER Light Machine Gun, as well as broader military modernisation programmes across the Nordic region.
