SIG SAUER has introduced its new P385 pistol, a striker-fired platform that combines reduced recoil, improved precision and increased modularity. The product was unveiled at SIG NEXT 2026, SIG SAUER’s annual event focused on innovation, product development and advanced manufacturing.

A new platform focused on recoil, precision and modularity

The P385 was developed from the ground up with a focus on combining a controlled shooting experience with a high degree of adaptability. A key part of its design is SIG SAUER’s new Recoil Dampening System, which, together with the pistol’s low bore axis, is designed to reduce muzzle rise and felt recoil. According to SIG SAUER, muzzle rise can be reduced by 20 percent or more, depending on the model.

The pistol also features a precision-cut carbon steel barrel and a new Fire Control Unit (FCU). The FCU is a central part of the P385’s modular design and is complemented by SIG SAUER’s new Trigger Block, designed to provide a smooth and controlled trigger press.

Another part of the modular design is the new MagStrap grip module, which allows the grip’s length and size to be adjusted to the user’s hand.

Five models and multiple configuration options

The P385 series is introduced in five configurations: P385-MACH3D, P385-COMP, P385-FULL, P385-CARRY, and P385-COMPACT.

All models are SIG-LOC optic-ready and feature fully ambidextrous controls. The P385 is also available with an optional manual thumb safety and comes in black and Coyote Brown.

SIG SAUER states that the P385 will be available on the market during autumn and early winter 2026.
